The Metro Bag

Ta-da! The Metro Bag! I told you I made something cool out of the Cloud 9 fabric!

I decided I wanted to make something for myself, and I had purchased these fabrics specifically for this bag a few weeks ago. I had to laugh when I saw Jeni had added a Ruby Star Rising pocket to her purse! I was thinking, "Oh my gosh! That's why I bought that fabric too!!"

I got the pattern from Tanya at Grand Revival Designs. She just recently put out a book called Sew What You Love. You can pick it up here and here, if you're interested.

    1. Thanks! Tanya gave me the pattern free for reposting about her new book on Facebook. She is still giving away free patterns. Check out her site. Right now all you have to do is link to where her books are sold and she'll hook you up!

  3. Hey, I saw that bag today! It was good to see you and Clara today at Cutting Edge. My name is Melissa by the way. I know it's been a long time since our class. Your blog is adorable and you are way too creative, in a good way, or course! I look forward to seeing what you have in store for the future!

    1. Thanks! Just so you know, you are a no reply blogger, meaning I can't reply to the emails I get telling me you commented. If you like what you see, you should follow the blog! I love having new followers!

  4. Love the colour combo! Although I can never look at that bag name with a straight face without imagining it stuffed full of newspapers... (the Metro is the UK free newspaper that appears on every bus/train the length and breadth of the land on weekdays ;o) )

    1. Bwahahahaha! Oh man. It is most certainly NOT stuffed with papers with writing so bad they have to give them away free! I loved these colors together too! I bough the fabric online though, so I was happy when they got to me and they still looked great together!

    1. Thank you! I fell in love with this arrow fabric the first time I saw it. The herringbone was just something I saw that I thought might compliment the dark turquoise of the arrows. I am so thrilled it turned out looking as well as it did!
