I won the Traveling Stash last week from Cindy over at Spin the Bobbin. I was really excited to get it because I've seen them floating around blogland.
I'm not going to lie, there was some ugly in this box but a few pretties too. And before you ask, no. I didn't take them all!
As a matter of fact, I'm adding all the pretties on the right! Do you see the Domestic Bliss and Riley Blake and Michael Miller Groovy Guitars? And the ribbons? And those bright zippers? You're welcome.
These are what I'm taking:
Some lovely canvas print scraps, DS, a 1/4" SA measuring thingy, and the Amy Butler pattern, which I am going to add to my growing pile for Giveaway Day with Sew Mama Sew. I also took out some more of the ugly because I couldn't get the box closed. I added too much!!
So how about it? Do you want a chance to win the Traveling Stash?
Here are the new and improved rules:
- Be an active blogger. Post about receiving and the giveaway on your blog in a timely manner.
- There is a note in the box that logs where the box has been. Please add your info and place the note back in the box.
- There is a list of Rules and Guidelines in the box. Please read and follow these and return the list to the box.
- You may take anything you like from the box. Just replace every item with comparable quilt shop quality items equal to the amount taken.
- Ship the box to the next person in a reasonable amount of time.
- Due to the amount of postage shipping is only within the USA. Sorry guys. I'm a little broke right now!
Now for a little heart to heart: The Traveling Stash is not a dumping ground for your old, outdated, smelly fabric. It is an opportunity to share some of your lovelies with your bloggy friends. Should you take all the pretty stuff and replenish the box with really ugly fabric, I will scowl in your general direction.
To win, leave me a comment telling me which fabric line you are most wanting to get your hands on. Giveaway closes Thursday, May 24th at midnight.
May the odds be ever in your favor!
Would love those guitars. The new Nightshade line by Tula Pink!
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes have you seen the new line from Sarah Jane?! She's just shown pics of it on her blog and I can't wait until august!! I see some saving up for bundles in my future!
ReplyDeleteI hope I win this! It'd be fun just to see where this box has been! Thanks Danny!
Ooh I love the guitars and the Domestic Bliss!
ReplyDeleteveryy cute, count me in
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm laughing about the uglies...because I was worried that would happen. However, count me in...I think I have some pretties to add! :)
ReplyDeleteI still need to clear out more stash. Please throw my name in. I'd love to get my hands on some of Lucy's Crab Shack.
ReplyDeleteI am patiently waiting for Seaside by October Afternoon for Riley Blake! I loved this line in scrapbook paper and always said I needed the one floral print in fabric! Now--that is soon to come true! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I would like a chance to have the box at my house! Thanks for the chance. I'm still looking for Barbara Brackman's latest, Metropolitan Fair. However, I'm not really all that picky - there's no such thing as bad fabric, in my book. Anything someone else considers ugly, I can still use by cutting it in small enough pieces and using it in a scrap quilt!

ReplyDeleteI would love to win the traveling stash box - GOOD FOR YOU in repremanding - and the list of rules in the box and people are still 'dumping' - so sorry .
ReplyDeleteooh, that Swing Bag pattern looks like a ton of prettiness fun! I'd love to win the box for the zippers :)
ReplyDeleteDon't count this as an entry (I'm feeling a little poor, too, to be mailing a big box around), but word to your heart to heart! I've been following the traveling stash around for a while, and it was really awesome in the beginning, then kept acquiring more and more sad fabrics... anyhoo, good luck everyone! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to get me some Vintage Modern! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNot everyone's tastes are the same. What you might think is treasure might be ugly to someone else, and something that may be ugly to you may be that persons treasure. But yes it is sad that they can't add equals, in type and amount of fabric. Some boxes ended up being nothing but books and patterns after a while. Hmmm Maybe I should start a book box?? Book box would be cheaper to mail as well, as long as it is ONLY books. Will have to dig around.
ReplyDeleteThe apple fabric looks like fun. I would love to have the traveling stash come for a visit. Thanks for the opportunity to enter :)
ReplyDeleteI've been following this baby all around blogland. Hopefully it'll make a stop by my house someday ;) I'm waiting to get my hands on the new Tula Pink lines. Nightshade is in the mail! And I saw pics of Birds&Bees this past weekend.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the box just to look at everything. I love the Vinage Modern line and Tula Pinks Nightshade in Lavender. Thank you for restashing the box and would love it to come to WV.
ReplyDeleteWould love, love, love to win! Your blog post makes me laugh, though it is sad that you have to say not to put smelly fabric in it...I know what you are talking about! LOL
ReplyDeleteI want Anna Maria Horner's new line and some of Sarah Jane's new Pirate fabric!
I like the Riley Blake and thank you for the opportunity to add some to my stash.
ReplyDeleteThere are too many fabric lines I love right now to count, I can't buy nearly as much fabric as I want :( I would love to have a chance at the Traveling Stash!
ReplyDeleteI want some Lucy's Crab Shack...soon too, cause I want to make a picnic blanket!
ReplyDeleteI really want to get some Marmalade when it comes out!
