I have been crazy busy, but when am I not? When are ANY of us not crazy busy?! Right?! Right?! Can I get an "amen"?
Anyway, let's get to it.
AHHHHHHHH! This is the state of my office right now. I can't think in there. I've actually moved my sewing machine to the kitchen just so I don't have to look at this mess. How did this happen? I'm usually so organized!! I get heart palpitations just going in there to grab the ruler. Something's got to give, but I have so much sewing to do, organizing is just going to have to wait. I share this picture so you can all see that I get messy! My things are not ALWAYS tucked away in labeled bins or folded just so. That just happens to be the way I prefer it.
And then I do nut-so things, like add fabric to that mess!
The left stack is from Pink Castle Fabrics. There was also some teal Hello Pilgrim Jewels, but I used them all for Caleb and Cooper's quilts the second it arrived! The right stack, well, that is a special little stack I got from Krista during the Stale Stash Swap. Mendocino!! OMG. I die.
But for reals, the softest fabric I have ever touched. No lie. I want more of it!
On to the WIPs.
New Projects: NONE!
Completed Projects: NONE! Just kidding... I've done a little work...
-Caleb and Cooper's quilts. This was a team effort with my CQ Ladies.
-Stitch Tease starter strip
-This star which I have no idea what to do with. I figure it can hang around and be eye candy until I figure it out.
To-Do:
-Beejeebers Block. This month I will be making a semi truck.
-Stash Bee block, which is a variation on a Cathedral Window.
-Stitch Tease block.
-Square and bind two Hope Quilts.
-Bind Clara's little Peacock Lane play quilt.
-Quilt and bind the Martyn's wedding quilt.
-Square and bind my Beatles quilt.
-ANNNNNNDDDD, experiment with my new book.
I think Maze will be pleased!
Linking up!
Mendocino is RIDICULOUSLY soft. I have actually traded away the two FQs I had of it (one of squids, another of seahorses) to someone who I knew would really appreciate it, but I took it out several times...just to pet it. Who does that? Oh, I guess we do. Hah! ;)
ReplyDeleteOOOO jealous of the mendocino! gorgeous! I have some pieces and I just sit and look at them, no intention of cutting into them anytime soon haha, fabric hoarder? yep :)
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by this baby food book - my mom used to make all of our baby food as well -- enjoy!
I loved making Owen's baby food. It's so easy too. Have fun! It seems like every week you have a new stash of fabric! My Monaluna sounds as soft as your Mendocino. It's feels so great between the fingers.
ReplyDeleteAnd your sewing room looks like my craft room on a DAILY basis. No joke.
Hmmm, I think I better look after the Mendocino until you have tidied up your room young lady!
ReplyDeleteYour fabric stacks are looooooooovely!
ReplyDeleteWow you have a lot to do!! Hope to see you get those projects completed! =D
ReplyDeleteLove your baby's name first off!
ReplyDeleteLove that guitar number with the Scripture and the Stitch Tease is incredible!!
The teal jewels are the best colour, hey? I got a yard of it and it's ear marked for looots of projects! I think you managed to nab all the good stuff in the swap (not that I'm jealous at all :oP )
ReplyDeleteNice quilts. I can't believe you scored mendocino - jealous. Can't wait to see the Beatles quilt.
ReplyDeleteHeh, yeah, adding more fabric to that mess definitely helped... ;o) WTG on the projects though
ReplyDeleteI remember my mom having some sort of sign in her house that said a clean house is the sign of a boring person or something to that effect. You are anything but boring. Love all you projects and admire your giving spirit. hugs, di
